Aoraki's extensive range of knitted hats and scarves are made using a wide range of natural fibers. We predominantly use Merino, Alpaca and lambswool yarns
In order to bring you the finest quality of beanies and scarfs, we source for yarns from around the world. For our Beanie and Slouchy ranges we tend to use lighter weight yarns than we do for our Toque ranges
To bring you a fully waterproof Milford All-weather Toque we have had to move away from natural fibers. To make a fuller water-proof Toque we use a Hi-tech waterproof lining material that is made in Europe. The lining (and only the lining) fabric is a 100% polyester knit fabric bonded to a 0.1 mm PU breathable and waterproofing film on the 'unseen' side of the fabric
The outer woolen layer retains it warmth properties even when wet, while the inner waterproof and breathable lining keeps you head dry
