Aoraki's extensive range of knitted hats and scarves are made using a wide range of natural fibers. We predominantly use Merino, Alpaca and lambswool yarns. In order to bring you the finest quality of beanies and scarves that we can, we source yarns not only from New Zealand but from around the world. For our Beanie and Slouchy ranges we tend to use lighter weight yarns than we do for our Toque ranges.

To bring you a fully waterproof range we have had to move away from natural fibers. For our Fiordland Toque we use a Hi-tech waterproof lining material that is made in Europe. The lining (and only the lining) fabric is a 100% polyester knit fabric bonded to a 0.1 mm PU breathable and waterproofing film on the 'unseen' side of the fabric.
