3. From Distraction to Direction

3. From Distraction to Direction

What started as a therapeutic distraction has grown into something far more meaningful — a creative outlet, a business, and a way to connect with people who value quality and story-rich products.  What began with trial, error, laughter, and more than a few cups of tea is now a fully functioning site and a craft that carries purpose.

Every step of this journey has been deeply personal.  Our knitwear isn’t only about warmth or style; each piece carries with it a narrative of resilience, creativity, and collaboration. The cashmere that Caroline so carefully tends for softness.  The quirky names we give to new designs — often inspired by the friends who model them. And the way every scarf, snood, hat, or wrap is made with comfort and durability in mind, paying close attention to texture, drape, and detail.

Running a small business like this means wearing many hats — sometimes literally. One day I’m adjusting lighting for a photo shoot, the next I’m packing orders, answering emails, or updating product listings.  Caroline is always sketching new patterns, testing blends, and knitting long into the night. The pace is relentless at times, but the joy lies in knowing this work is entirely ours.

The feedback we’ve received has been humbling. People tell us how a simple knitted gift brought comfort in a hard season, or how they finally found a hat that doesn’t itch.  Those stories remind us why we keep going — stitch by stitch, row by row.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to explore new ideas: small seasonal collections, collaborations with local artists, perhaps even a pop-up or two.  However things evolve, our mission will remain the same — to craft beautiful, high-quality knitwear that feels just as good to wear as it does to make.

So, thank you.  Whether you’re a customer, a model, a yarn supplier, or simply someone who has stumbled across our little corner of the internet, you are part of this story.  We hope our work brings you warmth, comfort, and perhaps even a smile.
